Jose Trevino's Catcher's Zone Mat

The Catcher’s Zone™ mat, designed by MLB bullpen coach Jordan Comadena and MLB 2022 All-Star, Gold Glove, and Platinum Glove winner, Jose Trevino, is one of the first training tools designed by and for, catchers. The mat is designed as a guide for both baseball and softball catchers on the proper body angle and glove positioning to expand the strike zone and to play the position at an optimal level. 

The mat is portable and can be taken anywhere. Perfect for training facilities, teams, coaches, and players, the mat features a QR code that leads the user to an informal instructional video of Jose and Jordan explaining the finer points of playing the position, particularly the proper framing of balls so they have a better chance of being called a strike, a key metric in today’s game.

The mat can also be incorporated with our softball Pitcher’s Alley so that both pitcher and catcher can work in unison.
